I want to wrap up Jiro's great Freesia manga with the last volume together with Wendy and his 2 new oneshot titles, City of Honests and Heretics and Becchin & Mandara.
We will possibly release it at the end of this month or at the beginning of next month.
Of course, with a Jiro Matsumoto special at MangaUnderground to celebrate his work to be completely scanlated... I guess that most people are desperately waiting for the last volume of Freesia for a while, so be patient for just some few weeks...

Eater was the first series of Usune Masatoshi, the mangaka of Desert Punk.

It will still take some time. We are currently working on Spriggan 01 and we will release volumes 1-3 in one go this year. Every volume around 350-360 pages, so things will be a bit slow but progressing...

I'm actually a bit excited about this.    Spriggan was what brought me to JCafe in the first place.  There's history for you.  I'll definitely look forward to the later volumes as well; I'm glad that someone is taking on the series.

I want to do some J->E manga translations, and this seemed like a good place to start. 

I've done J->E patent translations, I have a degree in linguistics with a minor in Japanese, I've passed the level 1 JLPT, and I've worked in Japanese companies for about two years...

I'm totally new to manga translations though, and I'm not sure where to start, but someone directed me to Gantz Waiting Room.

Anything that's targeted at a mature audience is fine by me except samurai/ninja stuff and postwar Japan. As for favorite genre it'd be stuff with gore, sex/rape, avant-garde and anything around those lines. Though I'm fine with cozy and heart-warming stuff as well. Oh and some oneshots should be fine too I guess.

I know it's not a whole lot of help, but if you're in dire straights for a proofreader I'm readily available. I've been proofing for about half a year, working on your generic shounen sports series to horror seinen series for Redhawk, Maigo, and Blackwing. If it'll help pump things out quicker, then I'd be glad to help.

The series I'm hooked on currently is Saku Syndrome, and I'm pretty much dying to find out what happens next. Needless to say I'd love to work on that, but am open to work on any series that you need proofed.

Has anyone read Luck Stealer? It is about a man with the power to kill/bring unfortune to anyone he touches depending on for how long he touches the person. And in order for his daughter to live normally, he must absorb the luck of people, thereafter transferring it to the daughter whom was born with luck deficiency (risking to die by accident).

It's a really good manga, i strongly recommend anyone to read the few translated chapters of it. And hopefully if it is to your liking, i do hope you could take it on as a project!

Hey guys if you're still looking for translators I'd be very much up for it. I have JLPT N3 and currently waiting on results from N2, and I study French with my degree, so I'd be happy to work with either language or both.
I haven't had any translation experience beyond some interpretation for some friends who don't speak the same language....

A young, unemployed, seemingly unmotivated young man is moving through his life. As a teenager, he and some of his friends formed a "Boyz 4 Men" club, which was based on a hatred of sex and women. As arguably the most opinionated member, his view of sexuality as an adult is far from normal. After a highly sexual encounter in a park at night, he has decided to attempt to draw perverted fetish manga. This brings him once again to the presence of a woman from the park, Sawada Kazumi. She's a manga editor and single mother with a perverted and intense personality of her own. What will happen when their worlds collide?

Half a year ago, a giant spiderweb appeared across the sky. For a while, it got a lot of media attention. Eventually, when nothing seemed to be happening, people carried on with their normal lives, ignoring the spiderweb. Amedome Tsutsuji lives his daily life under the spiderweb. At school, people have nicknamed him "Ninja," since it's so easy not to notice he's there. Even automatic doors won't acknowledge his presence by opening for him. But he can see what others can't: aliens are coming down from the spiderweb, taking humans bodies as hosts, and eating people.

For that reason, he uses his ninja-like ability to carefully guard his crush, Mizuno, as she goes home from school. In other words, he stalks her, but with the best of intentions. He's determined to be there to protect her when the spider-aliens attack. To that end, he teams up with another, friendlier alien named Tsuda, who gives him a powerful weapon: a faucet. Will Tsutsuji be able to protect Mizuno from the parasitic spider-aliens with his trusty faucet?
