The story centers around Becchin, a high school girl who lives in a battle tank on a riverbed in Tokyo's Suginami ward, and her friend Mandara. Together, the two exterminate the zombies of dead Suginami citizens.

An old folk legend tells that hideous beings are born out of the union between a woman and a ghost, and are forced into a sad fate of solitude.

In the present, on the shores of China, lies a remote village in extreme poverty where a mysterious young man named Ya San lives. Found abandoned on a beach twenty years ago, he lives just like the rest of the population in fear of a strange disease that makes you avoid the light. Murders, suspicious deaths, incurable diseases and mysterious disappearances. The village has resigned itself to its cursed fate. Ya San wants to make an end to this when his young friend Xiao Hua mysteriously drowns in the canal... He embarks on a risky investigation to the only factory in the area - deep in the heart of the Forbidden Zone - where he discovers the unspeakable.

"Ya San" is a story that combines old Chinese legends and folktales, the environment, fantasy and science-fiction into one. "Ya San" ventures deep into the human soul.

Is this a dream? Reality? Or maybe something else..........?
Every night, a mysterious man who styles himself Peter Pan sneaks up in Manami's room. He takes her with him to Neverland, an eerie place created out of human desire. Neither pain nor obligation exist in this place. A fairytale land of freedom, where people live governed only by their own instincts. There, all of reality's troubles and unpleasantness may be forgotten. However......... being human may not be quite as bad as it sounds.

Jiro went so overkill with the psychological traumatizing. We had a couple girls already with disorders getting weirder by taking psychedelics and also having delusions from getting poisoned/sick/dying. Becchin and Mandara was so weird and plotless I don't know what to make of it.

After a full year of work and delays we can finally release the next oneshot by Jiro Matsumoto; City of Honests and Heretics.

It's 7 short stories that weren't scanlated yet. Enjoy, we hope to pick up Jiro's next work when it's available in volume form.

City of H&H was rather meh. short stories definitely aren't Jiro's strongest side

I really enjoyed Wendy on the other hand. Trippy as it should, and it's nice to see a female protagonist for a change.
I think drawings in Wendy are most detailed out of all Matsumoto's works that i read.

too bad it seems he's gradually become more and more lazy about his art.

really thanks for translating it.
jiro is one of the most awesome authors out there. and i hope he never stops writing his darkly-stories.

i think especially his stories were allways his strong point (besides wendy, which was just random strangeness)

I didn't think City of Honests and Heretics was as good as Keep on Vibrating but it was definitely an improvement over Revolutionist in the Afternoon in both art and story.

I'm unsure if Kotonoha doesn't work on some of their other oneshots. I wanted to contact them about us working on Journey after they released God's Child.

They did release Sadness of the Heart just some days ago, and I hope that Jigoku will be their next work.
There also a lot of Nishioka oneshots that aren't even mentioned at mangaupddates.

I like their work very much. It reminds me of the evil childbooks mentioned in Naoki Urasawa's 'Monster'. I had a very disturbing contact with Journey while editing it. A trip into the heart of darkness indeed.
