Lists of BAD free hosting websites

This list is based on my personal experience, I hope anyone else could also add more 

1. esnips        - Deleted loads of "good" stuffs in the past - definitely not recommended
2. hyperfileshare  - Used to be good and very fast, nowadays it's very difficult to finish downloading files
3. megaupload    - Downloads per day are very limited, but it looks good to store files for long-term
4. sendspace      - Very difficult to get free slots to download
5. rapidshare       - I think everyone already knows, very difficult to download, very long timer
6. mediafire         - Can still be used, but never use full name of files or risk getting your stuffs deleted
7. filefactory       - Not as bad as sendspace, but quite difficult to get free slots to download
8. Gigasize          - "Crazy" waiting time, just like rapidshare 

OK, that's all I can think of right now, please feel free to add more !

mediafire is perfect if it werent for the assholes deleting files... (or maybe thats not the problem, maybe someone reported to make AS loose popularity, i mean other anime sharing sites get jealous easily)

the first 2 I don't know...
MegaUpload is only good nowadays if you've premium...
SendSpace is a bitch for large files, but good for hosting chapters of mangas
Rapidshare... only good if you need to download 1 file a day or so...
MediaFire, still at a good point, but not sure how long it'll last...

I have dynamic IP and I am certain of it. But the avoiding trick sure as hell doesn't work to me. I can pull off my internet cable and do the modem restart and even router restart and pull of that's wire and even close all internet connections AND EVEN delete all cookies, it still doesn't seem to do it for me. Neither does the automatic IP changing program I have.

Umm .. I learned this type of cmd trick to change IP.
But I'm not sure what my type of IP is .. static or dynamic.

So yeah, I challenge you to find a GOOD one.

CraftingWar, how do you choose the proxies to use ? 

Is there any favourite proxies ? Or may be you se some criteria in selecting the proxies like latency, SSL support, etc ?

I keep receiving "MU Answer: Wrong Username/Password."

I also agree that mediafire is actually perfect if not for those file deletion...

It seems that not using the actual file name somehow works... Too bad it doesn't support password protected files...

changing filenames will only work for a little while till MF figures it out, then they'll probably start deleting by IPs or by Entry Pages...

I always prefer Mediashare over megaupload. Rapidshare is pretty okay... Well, I'm in a slow connection area... Even super slow perhaps....  (Have you ever see 10 kb/s? Well, it's already pretty good here  )

So it's really hard for me to get files that around 100 MB  I even praying whenever I download something around 50 MB

So far, I use 4shared and Yousendit for sharing files with my friends (4shared is pretty good for a single manga chapter. Yousendit is good for those who need the files quick or for limited community, the link is only available for 7 days or equivalent with 100 times download).
Box, zShare and Badongo are fine for me... but still, I prefer Mediafire... XD

divshare is the BEST.......since it does no expire...FREE,fast dl,upload.......and unlimited bandwith,space,...everything about it..beast other.....,no waiting time at all....,no dl limit per minute/hr/day..wahtever lol

looking at it, they dissed nearly all of the ones i use daily. free accounts or no accounts. honestly speaking i think the waits arnt so bad. i cant say anything about uploading, but as far as i'm concerned download wise with the exception of using Megauploads for high volume downloads(i only use it for my 30mb dbz downloads) they all work great. and if you think rapid shares 40-60 second timer is bad try http://w14.easy-share.com, the first dl isnt so bad. then you get a nice time that doesnt start ticking till you try to download there again. its 500 seconds. have fun...

All free hosting sites have SOMETHING wrong with them.  It's a matter of finding what vice you can live with the most.  o.o

I don't mind Megaupload so much (I que up a couple of files at a time, therefore the waits never affect me (unlike with Rapidshare where you can't do that).  And if you're looking at a REALLY old set of links, I chose the Megaupload and it's the one most likely to still have the file.  But the download limits suck.

Mediafire randomly, yes, does not have files.

Sendspace also tends to get hung up for me, too.  o.o  Also, even when Sendspace doesn't limit my downloads, it's still always slower than Megaupload, Savefile, Rapidshare or Mediafire.  It's, I think, my least favorite.

lol i use them all so much i stopped bothering to pick a favorite. but really speed wise depends on the time of day, i get speeds as slow as 30kbs on mega uploads sometimes. but really its the one i dislike the most since it limits free accounts to between 200 and 750mb(i'm not sure the number really it kicks in randomly.

It's because I use them so much that I've started to pick favorites.  o.o  Especially when faced with a set of 3-5 different host choices for certain chapters/doujin.  I pick my favorites and then alternate them so I can download multiples at a time.  When I was downloading entire episodes of stuff of Megaupload, I hit the limits a lot more, so I didn't like it as much.  But with just the manga/doujin, it's VERY rare that I hit that limit anymore.  o.o

I tend to use torrents for entire series.  And just manipulate them into downloading the first episodes first so I can watch them as they're downloading.

I have megaupload premium so I don't have that problem :D But I totally agree about rapidshare and gigasize waiting time is a real pain. :\ I've never had any problems with mediafire but I guess if they're deletion maniacs it'd kinda suck.

Rapidshare is good if you don't "exceed its limits".  (i.e. you don't download 10 files consecutively).  So is Megaupload.

There was a time back then when the Rapidshare limits did not apply to me (this was before the timer, you know the time when there's the "happy download hour" thing.) while it did for others.  Those were the best time with Rapidshare ever because I was like in a constant happy download hour...  Too bad they removed it along with the killer CAPTCHA and replaced with the timer.

The problem with the timer (of some site) is that when you're a power surfer or just plainly multitasking, you leave the timer for a while and go to work on another thing.  But the session with Rapidshare is so short that if you forget about it for a while, you'll end your current session and thus "restart the timer".

I do use mediafire lot and i like it, but still not as good as megaupload, specially if you have a premuim account.

Mediafire and megaupload are the better from that list.

Badongo is pretty reliable right now in terms of file availability.  30 days of inactivity for non registered.  90 days of inactivity for registered users.  Average speed.  Has a 45 second timer after entering CAPTCHA.  During timer sometimes will pop up ad that you have to skip manually.  Currently their are problems with uploads stalling after completion because of the recent redesign of Badongo.  Haven't heard of any massive deletions that I know of.

Mybloop looks viable but search function doesn't work right now.  Its one of the few file hosting sites I've seen that has a flash application that you can browse a users upload file.  Its pretty new so no problems as of yet.

Megaupload is by far the best for firefox users, since you can line up all links and automatically download one right after another using DownloadThemAll!, since codes don't expire unless you close the page.
