In recent years, Japan has become the shining light of Asia - with its noteworthy achievements in the fields of Science and Technology, Medicine and the like.
But while there are a great number of rich and successful Japanese people, there are even more who are engaged in a furious struggle simply to earn their day-to-day living expenses...all the while battling with dangerous and money-consuming addictions such as gambling and alcoholism.

What will these people do when they require the cash to feed the never-ending desires that are part and parcel of being human? How miserable and dangerous might their lives become if they fall into the fearful traps that are set by black market money-lenders with the sole purpose of ensnaring such weak-willed individuals?

it took me quite some time to pick up Yamikin cos back then i didn't realize it's a work of Dead End's author.

Too schematic for my taste and there are too many suckers/losers who are made stupid so that the main hero would look awesome. Although it's only 2 volumes so maybe sth interesting will finally emerge. Anyway, thanks for the release, it is an interesting title.

This manga is mainly about losers and suckers of the low social class of Japan. The main character will be forced back more and more so you won't find any glorifying of a single hero in the further volumes. The theme is about the social scum of Japan and their futile struggle for a bit of luck. Probably nothing for you if you are used to shonen manga.

But I love the hardboiled and merciless tone and the realistic artwork. Dead End and The Smuggler are also very good titles from the same author.

Good to see you guys working on this project. I thought you guys weren't going to pick it up because of translation difficulties and what not, particularly with the slang terms and speech structure. All in all the work you've guys done with this is superb. Keep up the good work
