I will post a tentative set of rules in a while, but basically I'm expecting at least 10 players. so sign up and advertise the game...the more, the merrier

it'll go something like this:

The  Game


Sooo basically, there are two sides: townies and wolf(es). The goal of the townies is to kill all the wolves. The goal of the wolf(ves) is to put up a fight until they equal half of the remaining living population.

There will be two stages during each round, 'day phase' and 'night phase'. Each day, you get to cast a vote on a player. Once night time hits, the player who gets the majority of votes gets lynched. During the night stage, it'll be the turn for the roled players to cast their decisions. This is the time were the wolves choose their victims, who might appear dead at the start of the new day...

There will be a defined number of roled players(wolf, seer, guardian, who-knows-what-else). All the wolfpack members will know the identity of their partners. On the other hand, townies will not know who else is a townie at the start of the game. The main way for the townies to figure out who the wolves are is by making alliances, speculating the reason behind the kills, etc etc...

Basics:


Read the rules.
Votes must be WRITTEN in bold. If you edit your post or do not bold it, the vote will NOT be counted.
Lynch executions will require majority of votes. If only one person votes, that vote will be consider “majority”.
All players can vote to lynch during the day.
No multiple lynching, tie votes results in no lynch.
After you die, keep quiet. (meh...won't be so strict on this particular rule unless someone complains...)
You cannot quote, or screenshot my PMs.
The day phase will last 24 hours, night 12 hours. 
If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline.

Win Conditions:

Townies win: The werewolf(ves) are all dead.
Wolves win: They equal half the living population


Roles:


Townies' Side(9):

Investigators(2) - The good ol' seers. They can learn the role of a player each night. The players pinged will receive notice of the seers' action, but the seers' identities will be kept secret.
If one of the seers gets targeted for conversion, he will die instead, keeping the identity of his/her partner safe. The remaining seer will have the advantage of a more accute sense which would reveal Lupin's role if this player gets pinged. On the negative side, the extra legwork means only a 50/50 chance of learning the roles...(i'll flip a coin)
Guard - May save one person every night from a wolf kill. Cannot save himself.
Veterinarian - Starting on the second night, he may save one person every night from a wolf conversion. Cannot save himself.
Prof. Lupin - The person with this role seems to be a wolf whenever pinged(unless there's only one seer remaining). On the plus side his balloted vote has a spell and may count as two votes if the player decides so, and has inmunity against conversions.


Wolf's side(initially 1):

Werewolf - Can choose to kill OR to convert one player everynight. Aligned to himself and/or to the wolfpack. Can choose to convert ONE player in the game into a wolf.

Converted wolf(ves)- Share one conversion with the original werewolf. Once the original wolf is out of the game they can only kill but not longer convert players.


First day events:
So, as a countermeasure of a lucky lynching spree during the first day phase, the lynching itself will occur after the wolf makes his move (ie. as the last night event)

The role of the dead players will be revealed to the all the townies via PM

Any thoughts and ideas?

The Lupin role is smth tentative for now.
Also, I had some thoughts on adding a seer, and make the two seers work as masons. This would have some sort of limitation after one of the seers gets kiled...smth along the lines of having the remaining seer only learn the roles for one or two more nights or a 50/50 chance of learning the role...

I'll read again what i just posted and see if there's anything else to add/take.

I think it might be better if only one wolf had the ability to convert. it's not balanced right now. the lupin role is also kind of against the townies and can be really dangerous to them, to the point that it might be beneficial for the townies to just kill the player.
what happens with the lupin role after conversion?

^ hmm, i actually was considering that about the conversion ability...and I thought i wrote that prof. lupin is inmune to conversions, but apparently i didnt...Anyways, I'll keep sorting things out after some rest.

^^I meant that the original wolf can choose only one person per night, and if there are any converted wolves on the pack they all share the decision. So it'll be only one conv./kill for the whole group, not one for each wolf.
Guess the phrasing was a bit confusing...I have yet to re-revise the set of rules thoroughly.

^^ i haven't. i've been lurking on the thread but didn't have the patience to reply from my phone on these past few days.

So, I guess now we are finally complete.  I'll send PMs to all the players as a rollcall, to see if anyone is dropping out(it's been quite a while now since the signup started)..and i know of a couple of you who are in tough spot to actually play...
If everything is fine then this should get of the ground in no more than 2 days time.

since i've heard no objections on the past week, we will start tomorrow as planned.
The roles will be send in a couple of hours, and day1 will start tomorrow (like 7-8ish am, utc -5)
