Please post your feedback about our work on this thread.

I'll try to make a download thread in the next 24 hours, where you can get all our past and present works.

The homepage of GWR is still under construction, too many features...

Our main interest (our my main interest, lol) is into sophisticated adult seinen and ecchi comedy.

If you have interesting projects, raws or manga titles, please post them on this thread. And if you are translating a certain  project and looking for editors and proof-readers let me know it here.

This thread is open for requests, further contact information and chit chat about scanlating and help regarding editing mangas. Please no spam posts and comments.

If you have translations or you are translator and interested in helping out, please post on this thread before pm me.

In case you know other interesting mangas yet unscanned, which might be interesting for GWR (Seinen, Ecchi) please post links to raws in your recommendation.

I just tried to read Jabberwocky at Mangahelpers but it looked like they only had the RAW scans. I'd really like to try that shit and everything else you guys have been putting out but my connection is shit for getting big stuff at places like Rapidshare and Megaupload. Would it be too much to ask if you guys started putting this some of this as torrents?

you can read jaberwockey online here

they also have golgo and a bunch of other rare manga

I wouldn't mind making torrents, but I don't know how and I don't have the bandwidth to seed them ;_;

This year, you saw the rebirth of Gantz_Waitingroom with an exploding number of new projects and the new offsprings OFFTOPIA (Classic Seinen) and ENXAME (Shounen).

Big thanks to all the people who helped out preparing and editing, and special thanks to our hardworking translators who are the best and fastest ones you can find around this business.

We will keep being awesome Next Year as well and come back with new and classic series. Thanks for your feedback and your following.

Prepare for the first week of january when we return with a tank rush that will blow your mind!

Go with the flow,

mort

Woah, I've been so busy trying to repair my 360 that I didn't even know anything had been released here. Sadly it seems my 360 has song its last song which means that FXIII will not be seeing its completion here. Though, good work on the scans. Whats the news on sleeping planet? Ey, I can turn that into a catch phrase  . Not really sure where I could use it though.

Haha, I'm working on Sleeping Planet for nearly 2 years now, right? But it's nearly done by only a few pages now, thanks to 3 translators and a tenacious scanlator...

It will come out in 2 weeks with the next tank rush, and parts of Sleeping Planet 02 are already in the work. It's obvious why no other group ever touched this small series (only 4 volumes)...

Sleeping Planet 2? Do you mean volume 2 or are you talking about a sequel to the series? Speaking of sequal I was kinda of weary of reading Sakuranba Syndrome since I haven't read the first Cupid no Itazura but it seems they are completely unrelated plot wise. At least as far as I can see.

Well, onto Diablo II 1.13. It should keep me busy until I can find a 360 on eBay that's under $50. I know how to repair the red rings (I reached the repair limit on my current system) so I should be back to gaming in no time.

Anyone here play Diablo 2 or Starcraft. Yeah, I know they're ancient but they still help pass the time.

We are looking for people who have time to help out, either professionals or beginners!

- Cleaners : Requires to simply clean out speech bubbles of a whole volume in one week. In case you are experienced with professional cleaning and background redrawing you're welcome as well!

- Editors : You are able to work alone or together in a team, you are experienced with photoshop and have already edited a manga, and are able to do all jobs from cleaning to typesetting.

- Chinese > English translators : You are interested into reading chinese raws of japanese mangas and translate and write a script about them for scanlating purposes.

- Japanese > English translators/ proofreaders : You have fun reading very different sorts of mangas and have the time to translate and write scripts. Your translation level is at least C, and you are capable of working in teams and be a steady contributor of group activities.

Applicants can leave messages here or contact me personally.

  Thank you for your interest!

Qooy not working right is not something unusual but it's working for me, try a different browser I guess. If that doesn't work just pm me what you want to download and from which host and I'll send you the link.

How is the scanlation progress of I am Shingo?

It's the last project by Molokidan after he officially retired, so we have to be a bit patient. Maybe we can release v4 & 5 by next month. Then only v6 & 7 are left.

I agree with you that it's an amazing project, and I really love scanlating this title.
They don't make mangas like that anymore...

Hopefully there will be more people reading and understanding this one later.
It's Kazuo's deepest work.

And also, where did you guys get the raws of it?

An old japanese raw forum that doesn't exist anymore. It was source for most of the raws you can see at winny and rawscans today...
Our raw-hunter NFKira had major responsibility for finding all Kazuo Umezu raws available... A pity is that we won't have someone translating stuff like Baptism later, for example...

Well, if this one is the very last of Molokidan's translation project, his scanlation "carreer" will finish with pure awesomeness. So i can start reading it with tranquillity, since you guys plan to finish the manga.

Because of Molokidan's work on Fourteen,  turned to be a huge fan of Kazuo Umezu. I hope to read more of his work later (like "Makoto-chan" and "Baptism").

As for the raws, it's a pity they aren't available anymore. I was looking for some rare raws like the Original Kamen Rider of Shotaro Ishinomori.

I happen to have the original Kamen Rider volumes. Another project that will never find a translator because it's too old school. Also have the Spider Man manga and rare Otomo oneshots, etc...

Nah, Shingo will be Molokidan's last work...

OH MY GOD!! Really?!
Well, i'm studying Japanese, and once i get fluent, i plan to translate this as one of my first translation projects directly from raw manga (I already translate manga from English to Portuguese in my scanlation group). Can you send me  the raws? I've been looking for them for over a year.

I will pm you since I don't upload my raws on winny anymore. The filesize is 250 MB and includes all volumes.

When you are able to translate it then tell me. I can clean and redraw the pages and type them. Maybe in cooperation with your own group.

Not entirely sure if this is the best place to post it, but whatever. I noticed that the section at the bottom of FAQs, Rules and Information is a bit outdated, since it still links to mangatoshokan which, as we all know, has been down for quite awhile now. I'm guessing you use batoto now, but I'm not really sure. Either way, just thought I should bring it to your attention. Thanks all the work you guys do, really appreciate it.

Thanks for the info about Desert Punk. Your response has made me wonder though: why are you holding back releases for no other reason than to be able to release more things at once? Isn't it better to release a volume once it's ready and not wait twice as much time (or more, making a whole volume takes a lot of time and many things can happen during that time like a change of translators as in the case of DP) to release 2 volumes? Heck, in case of Shingeki no Kyojin you're doing more than that, you're not waiting till 2 volumes or even 1 volume is complete but release when the chapter is ready. IMO that's the best way to release. And I'm not just saying this as a leecher, I don't see any benefit of a double release for a group. It won't improve scanlation in any way, you're not using magazine raws and waiting for a volume to be released. The way I see it, releasing in smaller doses is more beneficial to the group. A translator/editor/typesetter who doesn't see the fruits of his work might get discouraged, it's not like he's doing this so that he could enjoy it alone (that especially applies to translators who don't need scanlations, only raws which can be very easily obtained, especially tankobon versions). Also, releases in smaller doses make more room for improvement (it's easier to correct one chapter than whole volume). Just a food for thought.

I like high quality releases, and I'm holding back finished volumes for bigger impacts. I prefer to release at least 6 volumes at a time, releasing only one is pretty weak in my opinion. I don't really care if readers get the volumes some days earlier, it's worth to work more on them till they are perfect enough. We do that because we can.

I'm preparing a 20 volumes release for the first half of this year, and a 30 volumes release for the second half. Doing only chapter releases when you can do volume releases is pointless if you consider that. It only gives other shitty groups the chance to take over projects of us. We concentrate on less projects than others who do chapters, compare that with groups like Easy Goings or Imangascans. But we complete our projects and we only pick up the best and most difficult ones. If you try to compare us with other groups then you have to realize that our quality is better and our output bigger regarding the quota within a month. So comparing us to other groups doesn't really make sense at all, who else can do what we are doing.

And last, we don't follow any nameless reader wishes. In the last years, readers became more and more ignorant to groups, and the feedback and will to help out has decreased, while readers merely turned into consumers of online readers. If I know a reader who worked for us in the past or someone who donates to us to support our work, then I will listen to him and his wishes and will try to see what I can to pick up projects that seem to be interesting enough or force the progress on a certain volume. We work solely for our own fun and not to serve the masses of the blindes and speechless. Readers have forgotten to be thankful what so few people of the community are doing, even spending private money so they can read manga for free. Doing scanlations at all doesn't make sense more and more, regarding how groups are treated by readers and private corporations that make money out of free work on online readers. If you wanna know why some people are still doing this, then don't think of fame or glory, cause that's absolutely pointless.
