I downloaded Perfect Dark, but right after I open the .exe my PC starts to run SLOW as hell and I can't really configure it or anything because of that.
Everything returns to normal as soon as I close the process.

Am I doing something wrong?

Do you have enough space on your harddrive for it?  I seem to recall something about perfect dark requiring a lot of harddrive space before it runs right.
