Then the first two chapters appeared in "Error" vol.00, in 2000. And finally, three parts, representing the 11 first chapters, were published in the three issues of MEGA HELLz magazine in 2006.

It's been a while, isn't it ?...

Koike Keiichi's Katajikenai :

A metaphorical depiction of Japan's apprehension concerning the advance of western culture in the country during the period preceding the Meiji Era.
Historical figures and psychedelic experiences are on the menu.

Gantz Waiting Room / Koike Keiichi - Spinoza
« on: September 16, 2014, 03:37:51 AM »
Sudden attack !

Here's a little gem that connoisseurs will appreciate to its full extent : Spinoza by Koike Keiichi.

As you may (or may not) know, this series is almost impossible to find in book format, and when we stumble on used copies, their prices are prohibitive, to say the least. But, with a little digging (thanks to the Wikipedia page dedicated to Koike Keiichi), it appeared that this work has also been published in a magazine. A photo magazine to be precise. Photo Japon to be even more precise.

And the magazines are cheaper than the books. So, with the help of a friend, I was able to buy some copies of the issues it's been printed in, and voilà !

Spinoza has been printed in 7 issues of Photo Japon, from december 1985 to june 1986.

Each issue contains a whole chapter, printed on one page. The format is that of a contact sheet, with the pages shrinked to fit on a single page.
7 contact sheets, 62 pages per sheet, plus 7 chapter pages.

— How come the archive is so massive if it's only 7 pages !?
Well, it's unlikely we'll ever see scans of the books. So, considering the rarity of this work and the size of the pictures, I decided to scan them at 1200dpi, and reduced them to 600dpi for the release. And I also included the scans of the magazines' covers, for completeness sake.

Enjoy !

One of the lost projects. There's little chance it'll ever see its completion, unfortunately...

Anywayz. Here's what's done, the first volume, bunkoban version with the extra chapter "First Mission" :

Summary :
Many years ago, an ancient civilization once ruled Earth. They were known for advanced artifacts and machines, but were destroyed in the end due to the misuse of their creations. Creating indestructible message plates written in Hebrew, these people left messages for later generations, informing them that if they could not find a good use for their creations, they should be destroyed.
Various entities such as paramilitaries, national armies and armed private forces began to secretly search for these "mysterious" artifacts in order to be used for their own good and against their enemies after the end of the Cold War. Only the ARCAM Corporation can stop these forces from destroying themselves with these "advanced" machines. With the help of its military arm, the ARCAM Private Army and their elite secret agents known as Spriggans (or Strikers), ARCAM plans to turn the tides of battle against those who would threaten the safety of humanity by using the dangerous artifacts.

Gantz Waiting Room / The Otomo Committee
« on: July 24, 2013, 12:50:20 PM »
I've been wondering since a couple of years why Otomo Katsuhiro's work had never been scanlated. Appart from his most famous hits (Akira, Mother Sarah), not many of his stories surfaced in the scanlation world.
I find this er... lack of interest or oversight quite surprising, and a tad disrespectful (in the sense that some stuff that don't deserve to be scanlated get scanlated instead of these gems... -it's only my opinion- Yes ! I'm an elitist bastard ! Don't you judge me !).

Anyway, Roselia Scanlations and GWR are joining forces to fix this. This series of joint projects is nicknamed "The Otomo Committee".

And we're proud to present you our first release, which is entitled "Kouen" :

Old Introduction Threads / Oï !
« on: February 09, 2010, 10:22:21 PM »
Hi all. I'm a 26yo french guy, who still doesn't really know what he'll do with his life, mostly because of every awesomeness we can find in this world of ours. So much knowledge :wakuwaku:! I can't make a choice !

I find myself wandering between computers, books, cds, dvd, games, (extend the list as you wish ^^), trying to find a way to combine all this. Now I'm on my way to take a training in computer network to help me make a dream come true, if it's even possible : a monstruous library/archival of all media (which obviously leads to eventually taking over the world  :hahaha:)

Now, how I arrived here : I stumbled on this forum while looking for the guys who shared Dorohedoro with us : GWR. I found them and bonus, it seems there is a cool community around. What else could we ask for ?

Cheers !
