The main problem in learning programmations languages is the same than every languages. You need vocabulary!
What i do is reading the documentation on:
-operators
-built-in structures and functions

Theses are the source i used.
C: http://www.acm.uiuc.edu/webmonkeys/book/c_guide/
C++: http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/clibrary/

But if you want to progress only aim and practice can help you.
You can train yourself with google code jam's old tests: https://code.google.com/codejam/contests.html

I advise you to master the built-in. And for Java... i forgot it.

Does anyone have any advice on how to learn C/C++ as well as Java? I have tried before but my efforts were fruitless, however I do have a firm understanding on programming logic and how code works.

Python, Javascript, Nginx. I'm pretty new. I'll consider myself a toddler. If anyone is doing anything, let me know. I'd like more experience. Especially in a coordinated team.

I'm decent when it comes to imperative programming languages (C/C++/Python/etc.) and as long as I have a reference (Google) then I can code in pretty much any of them interchangeably. I tend to forget syntax specifics and whatnot quite readily though.

Recently I've been trying to learn Haskell, it's completely different from anything else I've ever used and quite fun in a challenging way. There's a good book out there called Real World Haskell (

Hello,

I didn't see anywhere a topic on programmation, so i made one.
The aim of this topic is to share your knowlegde on programmation with everybody.
Since sharing is the best way to learn, i'll post later some info on languages, and answer questions.
i'm not an hardcore coder but i'm not a novice too.
