I recommend Legendary Moonlight Sculptor also named as Dalbic Jogaksa. The very first novel which made me slept for 4 hours just to read it more lol and the New Manhua is going  :elephantdancef:  A-W-E-S-O-M-E.

I would recommend Baby Steps and Ace of Diamond as sports mangas. Very enjoyable as they are very realist.

I recommend for lovers of diving -> Amanchu.
Description (copy from mangaupdates-dot-com):
Hikari Kohinata is a cheerful 15 year-old girl who lives near the ocean and she spends much of her time diving as a result. On her first day of high school, she meets a teacher who also likes scuba diving. There's also a 16 year-old classmate, Futaba Ooki, who gets dragged along in Hikari's maelstrom as soon as they meet at school.
Aaaannddd for lovers of kitchen -> Shokugeki no Soma (The anime premiered recently :3)
Description (copy from myanimelist-dot-net):
Yukihira Souma's dream is to become a full-time chef in his father's restaurant and surpass his father's culinary skill. But just as Yukihira graduates from middle schools his father, Yukihira Jouichirou, closes down the restaurant to cook in Europe. Although downtrodden, Souma's fighting spirit is rekindled by a challenge from Jouichirou which is to survive in an elite culinary school where only 10% of the students graduate. Can Souma survive?

Ahh Thanks for your recommendations! And I would also second the must read on negima.

Anways, in this short period of time I have managed to read up quite a number of novels and mangas. Soooo...
This is basically and update list.
:yay:

Manga: Shokugeki no Soma (My tummy rumbles after ever chapter XD)
yugami-kun ni wa tomodachi ga inai (Interesting read)
Wagatsuma-san ha Ore na Yome (Can't really get used to the comedy-styled illustrations, so-so i guess)
Defense Devil (No season 2 puts a damper on things)
             Koibana Onsen (Perverts unite!!)

Light Novels: The Legendary moonlight sculptor (If I didn't need sleep, would read 24/7)
Campione (Harem, Magic, Fights, Ecchi what else do you need?? :D)
Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (Tried it out after watching the anime, LN is far superior)
Silver Cross and Draculea (Only 5 volumes but pretty good read)
Maou na Ore to Fushihime no Yubiwa (Starts out pretty well but somehow the direction went wrong...)

Well... I have actually read a lot more but some are just not worth mentioning at all.
Till the next update we meet!

It does count as a harem (and one of the best around there imo) but definitely does not count as a light novel lol ^^

Can someone recommend me Harem/ecchi type light novels?
For example something similar to Highschool DxD.
I'm not a lot into ecchi/harem title, but among what I read, I would say CubexCursedxCurious (aka C^3)as my main recommendation, and maybe No Game No Life, I suppose.
C^3 is far better in novel than the trashy anime adaptation (if we can call that an "adaptation" anyway) was, and is almost fully translated (translator is currently translating the last volume (17th). No Game no Life is a bit irregular in its quality. Its last volume was the best so far and by far ImO ( although that volume is also the only one that didn't have harem and ecchi component xD).

Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon is very good and addicting, has both a small Harem (3 girls) and is ecchi but that's not the main point of those novels, so if you want something with a main ecchi/harem focus, I'd say that this one is not for you.

As for recommendations,
Manga: Kimi no Iru Machi (Personal favourite)
             Koe no Katachi (Heart Wrenching)
Gantz (Messed up, but addictive... Read with caution!!)
             The Gamer (Gamers can relate)
             Tower of god (Interesting plot)
Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou (For all you perverts out there)
:am:

As for light novels... I've only read a handful, so I'm not really able to give any suggestions other then the ones I've read.
Sooo here it goes.

Light Novels: Shinmai Maou no Keiyakusha ( Meh somewhat okay I guess)
Highschool DxD ( Addictive and favourite so far)
                      Psycho Love Comedy (Pretty interesting)
Hidan no Aria (Gets boring after a while... Not a big fan of loli tsundere characters)

Well thats all I have for now. Have fun reading!

Couldn't exactly find a relevant thread so i'll just post here. I'm looking for a manga I read recently. I think it just started even if the LN behind it has already progressed. It's about a school where all the students are granted a weapon from their soul or some such. And the MC here is the first person to ever have a defensive weapon, a shield.
absolute duo?
