ok, my turn :3

:hi: I'm from South Tyrol, a province in Northern Italy. I only moved around once when I was about 6 j.o. but never went across the border of the province xD
My family has his roots in S.Tyrol, but I have relatives all over the world: Like some in germany, someothers in the USA , another decided to live in Irland...
Sadly I myself never left Europe so far.
At the moment I travel between Italy and Austria  due to University (every 2-3 weeks I go home on WE from Friday to Sunday) - I'm studing German and History in order to become a middle/high school teacher. So, I live in Austria at the moment.

I'm lapsed Catholic (until University I was quiet religious). Nonetheless I do belive in a upper force, but don't think of it as a man white beard...    it's something more...general.
My parents and the locals are more of the beliver (despite of the general church-elopement (neologism on my part)).

Although form Italy my first language is German, or more precisely a local (german) dialect.
The majority of the peaple here is of Austro-Bavarian heritage (like myself :3) and speaks German. Around a quarter speaks Italian as first language, mainly at to the two largest cities (Bolzano and Merano), and a small minority have Ladin as mother language.
South Tyrol once was part of Austria, until World War I. There it was Italy occupied by Italy at the end of the war and annexed in 1919.
:bingo:
... Sooo,  I learnd Italian since I was in 1st grade and English since 4th grade. Last semester I got my Latin certificate due to my studies (Latin is a required language and I sucked at it initially -_-" But I did it *-* ).

Well, it's nice to meet you all  :shy:

안녕하세요!

(I really hope this is how I'm supposed to post things, since this is my first post on this site!)

I am from the US; I live in Turkey; and I'm learning Korean.  I still don't know how that managed to happen though.   Maybe it has to do with the fact that most of the people that I know here are Korean, or that all the kids I am tutoring in English are from Korea...   :hi:

I was born in Uruguay, montevideo. In case some people don't know where it is, it's in South America between Argentina and Brazil. Right now I still live in Uruguay and still in the capital, Montevideo. My heritage comes from germany, as you can see, my family is jewish, ergo I am too.
Culture here focuses a lot on education and respect. People here do everything they can to not make you uncomfortable.

Hello everybody! I'm braziliam and I speak portuguese  :hi:
Here in Brazil there's a big ethnic variety, you can find like, every type of cultural group that exists in the world. I'm half italian, a quarter portuguese and a quarter japanese. We're a very cheerful and veeeeeeery lazy nation. Oh yeah, and most part of us don't know english very well so, if you even think of coming here it would be good for you to know some basic sentences. Unfortunately spanish won't help you a lot either 'cause even though we normally understand spanish very welll... We can't tell you the same about the spanish speakers. Oh yeah, this is a pretty cool thing about my country: we have the largest japanese colony in the world

I 'm from Finland and still living here.  :hi:
My ethnicity is Finnish with a bit of Sámi blood and some German ancestors. I would say that I belong to Internet culture. I mostly use Finnish and English. And some French if I'm drunk enough. I also attempt to use Japanese and German time to time but I still need to study them more.
