ch 209 was kind of... boring. not much fighting or comedy, instead a chiu-chan who can't decide if she rescues negi or not... well, he woke up in the end, so we can hope for a better ch 210.

yeah, the climax between negi and dark eva was not there really, It could be much better if it were another 1 more pages... akamatsu didnt really show what happened between the 2 in the end of the battle

Well, too bad it's just a 3 ep OVA included in the special edition of the volume 24-25 of tankoubon  . What's better is, the OVA will follow the storyline of manga. Yes, it's true that the chapters taken can be considered 'filler'... but, Akamatsu-sensei mentioned, the last ep of ova will included 30 seconds of preview of Mahou Sekai-Hen! So, if the responses for OVA are good, then, we can assume they'll continue or make a real 3rd series.
Ah, yes, making the OVA based on the manga's storyline means: Kotarou will also be animated (stated by Akamatsu-sensei himself). Ku:nell's also got the honor

The studio responsibles for this OVA is SHAFT.

Oh I can't wait for the OVA's Hopefully we'll be able to see it turn into a full-time series. Just hope that the previous negima animes don't give it a bad rep. Cause I know for sure Negima!? was horrible I couldn't watch it after 3 eps but I still kept going up to ep 15 hoping it might improve but no, so i just gave up on it. Well thanks for the info

I really like Negima. Right now I'm buying the sries in English . Though I really think I shouldn't since I'm 15. When I first got the series I was like 11 or 12. And I'm pretty happy that Negi went to the "Dark Side" It shows he's going to take his own path and not just follow his father.

And Negi becoming a bad guy is cool. Maybe we're going to see a Negi who kill his enemys without mercy.

It's not only woth reading when you are into harem series. The fighting scenes can also get pretty intense. With Negi getting pierced by his enemys or losing his arm.

Well cute girls and some plot line so basicaly normal harem. But still it is missing something for me to go for it. Maybe it is just because it's another one to add pile of Akamatsu's earlier works. I do think he has achieved something, but still his style is to repeat same kind of characters, character types and plot lines. Tough must give that Negima has some new good plot lines and way more characters than normaly. Well still worth of reading if you are in to harem series.

I dont think hes personality will change even with dark magic since its already too far into the story for something like that to change.

Lets face it since the beginning Negi hasnt changed that much personality wise.

Maybe it's because they don't want to take the risk on planning the series to run more than 26 episodes? It seems they always set limit for 26 ep, but they are so greedy that they want to introduce all of characters in those tiny 26 eps... Even the manga didn't rush like that.

Hmm... Negi's undertaking the trial to get the dark magic... And Honya get one of the most dangerous magic item to be held by her XD. And looks like Negi's students are undergoing way to power-up ^^
Will Negi let himself to be consumed by the dark magic, or he'll eventually find the way to overcame and master the dark element? Or he'll wield the dark and also light element?

I think that would probably to get around having the ecchi without it turning rather pedo.
Negi is so young right now that even puberty is way beyond the horizon.
Having a young boy in a hareem manga, is kindo off balance. He currently doesnt have the tools to do anything remotely ecchi even if the H-thoughts can enter his head.
 
If he does, I believe the descriptive term is shota, kindo the male equivalent of loli complex.
