Filedude is from the Netherlands, so if you want to play safe, upload your files there!

Guess who's come out on a massive revenge spree for the megaupload take down? Anonymous! Is it wrong that I'm actually really happy about this?
Sorry, please read the forum rules to see why you can't view spoilers and why you can't post in this forum section. Thank you!

I've had good experience with

http://fileape.com/

http://filedude.com and

http://www.2shared.com/

Especially fileape and filedude, which have no waiting time, between downloads.

Haven't tried any of them, but the concept does seem interesting and certainly a better option than using torrents or IRC (at least in my opinion).

depositfiles and 4shared have waiting period between download which is undesirable if you want to dl large quantity of smaller files, which is usually the case for raw manga.

why not try ifile.it? it's basically less known mediafire.

if you think it's suspicious site, anon scans has used it to host their release for a long while now, alongside with mediafire.

Working for me (just uploaded something there to test it). Maybe it's the same as for Uploaded and they've just blocked some countries?

4shared and Rapidshare are really good imo.
Rapidshare is not tolerated to a copyrighted materials at all. Besides:
rapidshare isn't a alternative, it's selling information of the uploaders.

Wait, you mean that even if the site is taken down, the links are still available?
It is. If you've previously linked your Mirrorcreator account with accounts on the file hostings.

just use mirrorcreator
you can choose around 15 mirrors and let the files be uploaded to your own accounts on those chosen 15 filehosts

so even if mirrorcreator is taken down you can login your accounts on the filehosts directly and get the links there

The main problem is that when you're using more than 2-3 mirrors, some of them are going down due to expiration date. And usually most people are sticking to a most reliable file hosting from all the mirrors (Mediafire, for example) - so if it will go down and other will be expired... Back to the point one.

even you rename or creat pass.... it will be the same. They'll check sum like md5, if the file have the same number with previous illegal files... they will be deleted immediatly.... hotfile was doing this tactic.

But to be honest, i still like mediafire, some source said... US Army was sponsor of mediafire =)) ....  maybe it was false info.

Whatever, I'll continue uploading my files on MF, since I think they are likely to become MU successors, not to mention the great advantages they have unlike the deceased website. As someone said, rename the file, add a pass and all will be fine.

So how do we avoid that shit Filesonic & Fileserve try to implement, by adding a pass?
No, just simply ignore them as file hostings. Because if it will be same as with Mediafire in the future (probably), it'll be better to use Mediafire with all that pass-protecting and such. But we're talking about using completely different and nevertheless reliable hosting(s), which is quite hard to find at the moment lol...

hmmm...as I know:

Filesonic: So far....killing bad weeds and letting only people put up their files and let them retrieve their files only.
Uploaded: Not letting americans access the site.
Megaupload: Dead
Mediafire: Well...I'm not sure but I was on 4chan and under their rapidsharing thread I only saw dead mf links, and I'm talking about the latest uploaded.

I guess we are seeing nice activity on irc again-----soon xD

Fileserve, Filesonic, Filejungle, Filepost.... come on! They've the same owner!...
--Fileserve: scaning and deleting illegal files, they're banning uploaders.
--Filesonic: Oh great, they change into Private Sharing, with mean: only the one who uploaded it can download it. It's look like a personal online store.
--Filejungle: the same with fileserve....

MF still the best choice for free downloaders, but im not sure because their server locate in Houston (US) .... lolz. Who knows what happen?!

I'm still have a good exp with depositfile.

@nesfe, yup. But we need 6 not 2 file hosts.
If thats the case, then mirror creator and multiupload is the fastest way for uploaders. But i just read on Natsuyume that Multiupload is currently blocking new uploads.

:p!ssed: this is getting on my nerves, where i live i buy anything illegal right from the store, except for anime/manga.

PS: jcafe can go torrent based or irc, those are the alternatives I think beside mediafire

I think we should remove links to the suspicious sites like that from Jcafe to prevent our users from being defrauded. And silverado mean that the PP just block the PP accounts related to suspicious sites (and the whole file sharing industry lately, except for solid ones like Mediafire and such). Many of the file hostings already closed their reward programs and such just because of that.

I think we should buy a premium for faster download. Their price is acceptable.

Although its price is acceptable, donating to jcafe is better idea.
I'm still prefer donating or ordering manga from amazon than using money for buying DDL premium account.

Oh, I've had good experience with www.Depositfiles.com and www.4shared.com (only good for small files).

They're both shit, if you need to download at least ~1Gb or more totally. It will take you near a day or more even with jDownloader or something (at least for me) because of their limitations.

Anyway, I stopped using torrents quite some time ago, preferring DDL (due to time constraints and the bloody seeder-and-leecher concept) to them.

It's not down, they're just implementing new content-filtering system:
"Vobile a leading provider of content identification and management services, today announced that Filesonic, a leader in cloud storage solutions, will be deploying Vobile vCloud9 to check all files when they are uploaded to its site - including compressed files - for copyright infringement before users are able to share them publicly."

As soon as they'll implement it, they'll back to work again.

How can we avoid this?

What is left?  Off the top of my head there is Filefactory , Depositfiles ,Oron, Usernet, Megashare, 4shared, Freakshare , Uploadstation, Easyshare, Gigasize and probably some more i can't remmeber.

Right now we need peoples' experience with good file hosts. Frankly out of those, I have only used depositfiles and 4shared They worked fine for me. Feedback ?

Edit : don't the Netherlands have some law that allows piracy   . So crocko, Uploaded can work ?

Netherlands is right now one of the few countries that allow piracy. In the past months 2 more countries joined the cause.
