Open source sure gives many usefull options and probably mutch work to the creator. Iremember azureus as buggy resource easting slow downloader... bitcomet and bittorrnado werent my favourites so now i use uTorrent and I am happy with it - Fast Simple Small.
In a situation you cant find something on webs like hitfile rapid ect and no luck on torrent sites you can give a try to some kind of eMule/Donkey ect you have about 70% chance that it will be there but not nessesarily with many seeds so downloading may take constderable amount of time (like 5 days straight of nonstop for 1 movie).

Well its Open Sauce so you can expect it to be buggy :p Also the fact there there hasn't been a update for the windows reversion of it in awhile shows that its not rly used for windows.

Newest µTorrent 2.0 beta is the best thing out there. Great speeds and manages the upload perfectly.

I advise Deluge. It's a near photocopy of uTorrent except it's extensible (good add-ons), open source (no phoning home), and cross-platform (go mac osx/linux). I second this. I especially like the fact that I can use Deluge's native gui through ssh tunnel to control Deluge running on a different computer. Most web intefaces seem a bit lacking and console clients don't have all the cool features.

I'm using Thunder5 which combines torrent and e-mule downloads together. It's in chinese though. I wouldn't say it's really fast just on par with bitcomet 0.70.
You can get partial english translated features from Hehehunter's website.
Try not to revive old old topics, gets people mad. Heck no, BITTYRANT FTW!!! uTorrent is always around 50-150kb/sec average for me, with BitTyrant is 250-300kb/sec. Win.
Also in defense of Utorrent, I generally get around 300-750kb/s with it... those who get low probably haven't config'd it right.

Nobody uses a client come with Opera browser. If you liked Opera, it might be a choice. Although, I'm using µTorrent. Then, how about a web service like http://www.bitlet.org.

For the 100th voter... I've frankly chose µtorrent because: 1) Light on Pc resources. 2) Fast (for me at least but not all the time) 3) Simpler than Azureus!!!

I didnt really have a problem with Bitcomet, i just started with utorrent, and it always seemed easiest to me. Azureus was just, i guess it was to flashy a program, to much unneeded stuff.
agreed. Iv used it on linux and to me it was a bit to flashy and to much of a program. ITs more of like the "elite" program. But most of the time when you see the word 'elite' theres always usless crap behind it. in the end the so called "elite" be comes annoying and pointless.

How was it not use friendly? I think it's as easy to use as µTorrent, and well, pretty similar in most ways. And the setup is also pretty similar, though I like the BitComet's setup better

i disagree im sure there is a big difference. µTorrent basically takes nothing unless it's caching the data it downloads. Azures takes much more and even uses java.

The difference bitween BitComet's and µTorrent's memory isn't much. Also, µTorrent is so popular, because it's popular.

uTorrent uses the least amount of memory. Therefore I like it the best i agree with that, since i tend to use it along with WMP and Megauploads, when i had azerus i had to let it run alone

I use Azureus and BitComet. µTorrent sucks the most.
µTorrent has to be the most popular easy to use torrent client out there. It simply dose what you want it to and thats download. it has other good torrent features and takes no space at all. its standalone at barely a few megs. Azureus is a monster. Its like downloading photoshop if all you want to do is draw circles; ridiculous. I only use Azureus when using linux and barely. Since there are other nice clients that could do a better job.

Well i've seen most of the programs used, Azureas is probably the best, but it just took to much effort, i always stuck with utorrent. its easier than Bit torrent, Bitlord or Bit Commet, and i can run it while downloading through Megauploads and still play WC3 fairly well.

Torrents are very important you shouldn't say there"GAY" Just because you are a 'noob' at torrents dont mean you have the right to say there gay. Torrents keep piracy alive.

I use Azureus, no problems with watching Anime or playing games such as War3 or WoW. Slows down the connection a tiny bit but it isn't noticeable.

µTorrents sucks. I had it like 30 mins... Azureus is maybe the best.
mmmm it was just the opposite but with bittornado Azureus is a really heavyweight torrent downloader, sure it looks nice but if i run it i shouldn't plan on doing anything else that would eat up a lot of resources i usually encode while torrenting while playing a game (listening to music as well ofcourse) but while using Azureus i cant, i run out of memory far too quickly it also has a lot of options i dont need like the video the search bar and all that other stuff (cant completely remember) i have websites to search for torrents and i have stage 6 for when i want to watch HQ videos
